A lot of companies are quick to talk about their capabilities. The word is routinely used to describe a company’s products and procedures. But there’s another way to look at it. The word “capabilities” can also mean a collection of people, processes, and technologies gathered for a specific purpose.

At Creative Composites Group, our people, processes and technologies allow us to take a different approach to how we design and build Fiber Reinforced Polymer (FRP) parts. CCG products fall into two categories. Standard FRP structural shapes such as angles, channels and beams and products like our FRP bridge systems, waterfront infrastructure, rail applications, fire-resistant utility poles and cooling towers (to name a few) comprise one group and can be easily found on our website. The other group is reserved for custom products we make that are not on our website because these projects are proprietary to our customers.

That said, we provide a wide range of composite manufacturing processes and the know-how to help customers match the right process with the right part. It's been our experience that companies find the most value in our capability to both design and manufacture the parts they need.

3D DesignThe typical approach is concept, design, prototype, testing, initial production run, and long term production. The more complicated the part and the tougher the requirements, the more value we deliver. Our engineering expertise and manufacturing processes are also suited to tight tolerances and very large parts. We have supplied custom parts as long as 30 feet and up to 5,000 pounds in weight. CCG can fabricate high-performing FRP structures from 30 mils to 100 ft. Quantities include short runs and high volume jobs and pretty much anything in between.

For very large parts in small to medium quantities, CCG’s vacuum infusion process is the most economical. Our capabilities include filament winds for cylindrical shapes of small to large quantities as well as hand layup for a diverse range of shapes and sizes in small to medium quantities. Pultrusion is ideally suited to large part numbers, making CCG the “go to” for high volume production of constant cross-section, continuous parts. The Group also offers hand lamination. Cost-efficient tooling makes this open mold technique appropriate for prototype or low production quantities.
