To increase the buoyancy of a dock, four floats were created that could be attached to the existing structure. Each float was basically 97” long, 55” high, and 91” high, but had customized shapes to fit against the dock. The low-density foam was laminated with fiberglass fabrics for strength and durability. Buoyancy calculations were critical to the design. An internal cavity allowed for trim adjustments during installation.
