At Composite Advantage, and throughout the Creative Composites Group, we have assembled a team of engineers, designers, quality supervisors, skilled technicians, and managers with countless combined years of experience developing FRP solutions. Our team understands target applications and makes recommendations to make sure each customer receives an ideal FRP product for their use case.
Our roots trace back to a press conference held at the National Composite Center (NCC), Kettering, Ohio in 2005. At this event, community and business leaders gathered to hear about a new company that would harness the unique features of FRP materials to design and manufacture high performance products for markets that did not traditionally use composites.
Before founding Composite Advantage, President Scott Reeve and Vice-President Andy Loff spent many successful years at NCC, developing technology and products for a wide range of customers. These unique skill sets would be the foundation for the new company’s products and customer base. Composite Advantage incubated at NCC until 2007, when they moved to a facility just north of downtown Dayton. Since then, the company has developed proprietary molding processes and Fiber Reinforced Polymer recipes that make it one of the few advanced material manufacturers able to fabricate very large, highly loaded structures - up to 100 ft. In 2012 and 2013, Composite Advantage increased its manufacturing capacity with two additional buildings and yard space. The company relocated to west Dayton in 2017. Composite Advantage was acquired by Hill and Smith Holdings PLC in October 2018.
When it comes to reputation, Composite Advantage believes a track record for solving problems, good service, and a commitment to do what is said speaks volumes.
As a leading supplier of FRP products for bridges, waterfront infrastructure and rail platforms – based on award winning technology and innovative designs – Composite Advantage understands that high performance, lower cost alternatives are our customers’ first priority. That is why Composite Advantage makes it their business to offer options that have a lot of advantages but are surprisingly economical.
