    Surry to Skiffes Creek

    The Surry to Skiffes Creek transmission line was constructed by Dominion Energy to bring cleaner electric service to the Virginia Peninsula by replacing coal-fired plants. A high-impact-capacity fender system was needed to protect the towers. StormStrong piles were selected for its superior energy absorption and corrosion resistance. The project used 120 of each of two piling sizes: 75 feet x 30 inches and 95 feet x 30 inches.
