Project: Pier Rehabilitation

Product: Carbon-Glass Pile Jackets

Overview: FRP Pile Jackets are fiberglass reinforced cylinders (or other shapes) that are installed around bridge and pier pilings. They reinforce the pilings and protect them from corrosive saltwater and chemical pollutants.

The FRP jackets encapsulate the pilings so concrete grout can be pumped into the cavity to form a new exterior for the pilings. Jackets typically stay in place and provide additional corrosion protection in the "splash" zone where most degradation occurs.

This is a much more cost-effective rehabilitation method than replacing the pilings.
