Overview: In 2015, Dominion Energy upgraded the electrical towers on the James River Crossing transmission line that is critical for the power demands of the Virginia Peninsula. At the same time, Dominion installed a higher-capacity fender system to protect the towers in one of the busiest shipping channels in Virginia. FiberPILE was selected for its superior energy absorption and corrosion resistance.
